Dear Friends,
Welcome to our newsletter, Connecting with Gaza, where we share Palestinian voices and experiences. For over two years, the families we serve have endured siege, starvation, and relentless violence. Yet their defiance—and your solidarity—has forged lifelines where governments fail.
This newsletter is our shared act of witness.

The Horrors Continue—And So Does Our Resistance
As the world shifts its attention to Israel’s newest acts of war, our families in Gaza remain crushed under the grinding violence of genocide. Over the past week, as documented by journalists and lived by our loved ones, Israel has murdered hundreds of innocents daily—met with global silence. This, dear reader, is why our work grows more urgent by the hour. We are the lifelines, fighting to sustain life in a world of calculated cruelty and apathy.
In the last seven days:
Two of our families lost young loved ones in Israel’s so-called "aid distribution centers"—now revealed as killing zones.
Another family’s close friend narrowly survived the same massacre.
A fourth family scrambles to fundraise for a tent ($600 USD) before their newborn arrives in weeks, while threadbare clothing and scarcity define existence in Gaza’s open-air prison.
Yet sparks of resilience persist: soup kitchens and bakeries reopen sporadically in southern Gaza, fragile but defiant.
The exhaustion is real. Palestinians embody David against Goliath—but justice comes only through relentless action, not chance or empty promises. This is a marathon of solidarity. If you’re part of community groups, share our newsletters to amplify voices from Gaza and strengthen collective resistance.
“Our dream has become a bag of flour. I hope you provide it for me so I can break bread for my children.”—A mother in Gaza
Gaza’s Unfolding Atrocities
Yesterday, Israel plunged deeper into its campaign of industrialized cruelty, adding yet another layer to Gaza’s litany of horrors. Starving families—corralled into so-called "aid distribution zones" under U.S. complicity—were butchered once more. Through our contacts sheltering in northern Gaza, we learned of loved ones murdered: one at an aid point, another in Israel’s bombing of a beachside café.
Since March, Israel has blockaded all medical supplies, turning hospitals into graveyards. At Al-Shifa, survivors of the café attack now lie on bloodied floors, gasping their last breaths—denied care, denied dignity, left only to be counted among the dead.
We hear these accounts directly from our families. Their anguish sears through every message. We grieve with them—for the father of seven left to die on a hospital floor, trampled by strangers in a crumbling medical ward, his final moments a testament to Israel’s calculated sadism.
Each day, this genocide manufactures new orphans, new widows, new households stripped of providers by Israel’s machinery of death. But we refuse paralysis. Your solidarity is material resistance: donations sustain survival, fuel collective defiance, and forge a path toward liberation. Every contribution is an act of rebellion against this slaughter.
With the proliferation of statements about indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel, mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, the Israeli occupation army has intensified its bombing, detonation, and assassination operations using various types of military equipment. In recent days, the number of victims of all ages and backgrounds has escalated, exceeding 100 per day.—Rizek from Gaza
Learn more and get involved
We have various initiatives led by our volunteers. Among them, foremost is an open invitation to individuals and groups to learn more about our work and ways to get involved. Nic and Wah are two Connecting Gaza volunteers who have set up this offering. Individuals who want to get involved or learn more can reach out to set up a short online meeting.
Groups (of friends, charities, or other community groups) can receive a deeper dive into our structure, the everyday experiences of our families in the words of our volunteers who talk to them daily, and the way your contributions make a difference.
Golfing For Gaza
One of our community members has been raising funds for Gaza with a daily remembrance of murdered Gazans through his golfing practice - two people matching even 10 cents each for every ball he hits would help us sustain a family of five in Gaza for another week (~$230 USD). These actions link our humanity together. Thankyou for being a part of it now and always.
As of June 30, 2025, David has hit over 6,500 golf balls. If you donate even 10 cents USD per ball in remembrance, you would have fed one of our Connecting Gaza families for three weeks.
Just two people matching 10 cents each for every ball David hits, helps us sustain a family of five in Gaza every week (~$230 USD per week). These actions link our humanity together. Thank you for being a part of it now and always.
What Your Solidarity Has Achieved
In Gaza, where Israel's siege has weaponized hunger, your solidarity is a radical act of resistance. Every donation helps families secure basic survival—flour, food, and fleeting moments of relief in a genocide designed to break them.
Because of supporters like you:
Starvation delayed: Families obtain precious weeks of flour in a land where 93% face catastrophic hunger (UNRWA).
Dignity defended: Parents no longer have to ration single meals between children for days.
Hope sustained: Each delivery proves Gaza cannot be erased.
Take one of our families: just this week, your funds secured them a month’s supply of flour and additional food—a temporary shield against Israel’s engineered famine. Their child now wakes to breakfast instead of stomach cramps; their mother no longer cries herself to sleep.

This is the difference you make. But with Israel tightening its chokehold, we must do more. Will you help another family today?
I greet you from a small tent that shelters us from the burning sun and the cold nights… from the heart of pain in Gaza, where hunger knocks on our door every day, and poverty suffocates the dreams of our children. I greet you with a heart full of prayers. My children wake up with empty stomachs, my sick wife fights silently, and I do all I can to keep standing for their sake. Despite the suffering, we still hold on to something no one can take from us — our faith in God, our love for you, and our hope that there is still goodness in this world.—A father in Gaza

In Solidarity We Rise
These stories from Gaza are not distant tragedies - they are unfolding realities written in the voices of our brothers and sisters. As Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish wrote: "We have on this earth what makes life worth living: April’s hesitation, the aroma of bread at dawn, a woman’s point of view about the revolution..."
Even now, amid Israel’s relentless assault, we witness moments that defy despair:
Parents creating laughter for children in bombed-out buildings
Communities sharing their last morsels
The unbroken will to document, testify, and survive
This is where you stand.
Every donation preserves life.
Every protest challenges complicity.
Every shared story breaks the siege of silence.
The families in these reports could be yours. The choices we make today - to act or look away - will echo through history. Join us in making sure Gaza is not just remembered, but liberated.
Your solidarity is the bridge between their courage and our collective conscience.
In relentless hope,
The Connecting Gaza Team
